For more than two decades, I built and led veterinary specialty hospitals, developed teams, and navigated the kinds of decisions that shape businesses—and the people within them. Leadership and building weren’t just what I did; they were how I moved through the world.
 

Now, that same mindset is guiding a different kind of journey.
 

Adventure Stafford is where experience meets exploration. It’s a space to document what comes after a full career, when the structure of building gives way to the freedom of choosing what’s next. Trail running, travel, new challenges, and constant discovery have become my new projects.
 

But this chapter isn’t a departure from leadership it’s an evolution of it.
 

The lessons learned from building organizations; clarity, resilience, decision-making, and understanding people show up everywhere. On the trail. In unfamiliar places. In the quiet moments.
 

What I’ve come to see is that leadership doesn’t end when a role does. It becomes quieter. More personal. Less about building outward, and more about paying attention inward.
 

This space is a place to reflect on that shift.
 

On identity.
On resilience.
On what it means to begin again, without needing to call it that.
 

Because maybe this isn’t a second act.
Maybe it’s just another way forward.
 

And for the first time in a long time, I’m not in a hurry to define it.
